After a successful year of working with IMG Academy’s soccer program, we’re excited to announce that its world-class performance tracking technology will now be rolled out across multiple sports on the IMG Academy campus, including soccer, basketball, football, lacrosse, volleyball, and softball. Nearly 1,000 student-athletes will benefit from PlayerData’s advanced technology to help optimize performance and development.

Notable Features of the Relationship:

• For IMG Academy soccer, PlayerData is installing a “connected arena” system featuring solar-powered PlayerData Connect Live gateways around all 15+ soccer pitches. This infrastructure enables real-time data access on preferred devices without the need for manual syncing, saving significant staff time.
• Boys and girls basketball programs at IMG Academy will utilize PlayerData’s portable Local Positioning System (LPS), which operates indoors without GPS. The LPS accurately tracks key metrics such as distance, speed, and accelerations with quick setup and minimal disruption.
• In line with its innovation-driven service model, PlayerData will collaborate with IMG Academy to soft-launch sport-native in-app experiences for volleyball and softball, further enhancing the athlete and coach experience.
